Hoppin' down the bunny trail

April brings plenty of opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny at local events.

Easter may come late this year, but kids can start the fun early! The Easter Bunny has scattered Easter eggs all over South County, just waiting for children to find them. Events range from breakfast with the Bunny to egg hunts held day and night.

On April 5, families can have breakfast with the Easter Bunny at South Kingstown High School or, for children ages 2 to 5, go on a Hip Hoppin’ Egg Hunt on Hazard Field. The Flashlight Egg Hunt for ages 8 to 10 begins at Old Mountain Field at 7:30 p.m. southkingstownri.com

Looking for brightly colored, candy-filled eggs is fun, but you might want to try a little challenge. On April 12 at 10 a.m., Fisherville Brook Wildlife Refuge in Exeter hides camouflaged eggs, so kids ages 3 to 10 can learn how well brown eggs blend into their surroundings. asri.org

At 1 p.m. in Wilcox Park in Westerly, children ages 1 to 8 can join the Easter Bunny and Luck the Duck to search for eggs filled with special treats. westerlychamber.org
