On Friday, Aug. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m., join South Kingstown Land Trust (SKLT) at the B5 Party: BBQ, Blues, Beer, Barn and Bonfire, celebrating the essentials of a perfect summer evening in Rhode Island.
The event will feature food, including BBQ pork sliders from Al & Sam’s Pig Roast, sides from Tom’s Market Catering, freshly picked on-site corn on the cob, Insomnia cookies, the live blues band Greyhound Dream, beer from Whalers Brewing Company and a bonfire with s’mores.
The Barn, SKLT’s property at 17 Matunuck Beach Road overlooking cornfields and meadows, provides the setting for an evening of good eats, lively music and great company. Take home a great raffle prize from some of South County’s hottest vendors and artisans. Net proceeds go towards furthering the mission of conserving the natural resources of the Town of South Kingstown through preservation and stewardship of open space.
Tickets and sponsorships are available at sklt.org/event-tickets/ for $50.
“We’re looking forward to hosting our local community for this party,” says Julia Landstreet, executive director of South Kingstown Land Trust. “It feels very fitting to raise funds for our mission of protecting and stewarding open space surrounded by nature, good company and great food.”
SKLT sends special thanks to the B5 Party sponsors: Ecotones Inc. Environmental Consultants, Insomnia Cookies, Ortho Rhode Island, South County Dermatology, Tom’s Market Catering, Wakefield Liquors and Whalers Brewing Company.
